THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE: SMASHED IT!

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is one of the toughest there is and we’re proud to say a team of our Manthorpe colleagues tackled the 24-mile route on Friday 7th October. ascending 1585m, to complete the challenge in just over 9 hours.

As part of Genuit Group, the Manthorpe team accepted the challenge to support a business-wide fundraiser for the Maddie Rose Campaign and the Construction Youth Trust.

The Maddie Rose Campaign has been set up as a lasting legacy in celebration of the life of Maddie Rose, an inspirational young woman who was dedicated to showcasing the aspirational careers available in the sector she cared for so passionately.  The campaign aims to inspire young people to discover the varied and rewarding careers available in the Supplier and Merchanting sector as well as the wider Construction and Built Environment Industry.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. These peaks form part of the Pennine range and encircle the top of the valley of the river Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Walking for Team Manthorpe were Ben Hales, Dan Walker, Claire Wharton, and Matt Gent.
